Marcus Talton
Assistant Chief Talton started his Law Enforcement Career with the Lancaster Police Department in 2004, after graduating from the North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Police Academy. Talton served as a Patrol Officer and SWAT Team Member. In 2013 he promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served in the Patrol Division. In 2015 Talton was promoted to the Office of Professional Responsibility and in 2017 promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Talton has served as a SWAT Officer, Patrol & FTO Sergeant, Internal Affairs Sergeant, Recruiting & Hiring Sergeant and Office of Professional Responsibility Lieutenant. Talton is a graduate of the 113th School of Police Supervision at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA). He is also a graduate of both the FBI- Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Command Institute and the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Executive Institute. Talton holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate and has received the Lancaster Police Department Award for Supervisor of the Year.
