Traffic Enforcement
A traffic enforcement location is a place functioning in some role in the direct and immediate enforcement of traffic laws. Some of these traffic laws are vehicles driving through stoplights, driving too fast, making illegal turns, tailgating, disobeying traffic signs, usage of cellular telephones in school zones.
The Lancaster Police Department will conduct traffic enforcement on locations where it is determined that traffic laws are being violated on a regular basis. The Lancaster Police Department will also conduct traffic enforcement on locations in the community that citizens report to be unsafe driving locations. To report a location to the Lancaster Police Department please fill out the
Traffic Concerns form. All Traffic concern forms will be reviewed upon submission by shift supervisors and the information will be passed to Patrol Officers to conduct traffic enforcement during their shifts.
