The Lancaster Police Department would also like to inform our citizens of 2 curfews that we uphold:
The first is a day time curfew which runs Monday-Friday while school hours are in session. Any juvenile or young adult who is determined to be enrolled as a student in any Independent School District in Dallas County or any surrounding Counties, who is out of their residence unaccompanied by a parent/adult guardian during school hours will be detained and possibly issued a Citation for Day Time Curfew.
The second curfew is a night time curfew for any juvenile under the age of 17 who is out of their residence while unaccompanied by a parent/adult guardian after 11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday or 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Juveniles located outside after hours will be detained and possibly issued a Citation for Night Time Curfew. This curfew runs year round and does not coincide with school days.
The Lancaster Police Department would request that our citizens report any juveniles violating these curfews by either using the Emergency 911 line, Non-Emergency line 972-218-2711, or the
Close Patrol Form.
