Diversity in the Procurement Process
The City of Lancaster believes that diversity contributes to the organizational goals, productivity, creativity, and commitment of the workforce and helps meet the needs of our diverse community. The city endeavors to create a business environment that will build public trust through responsive, representative, and respectful public service during the procurement process.
Vendor Databases
The City of Lancaster uses North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency and the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) / Vendor database to verify and search out minority, female-owned, and disadvantaged businesses.
Certification
Vendors do not have to be certified to participate (bid) in the procurement process. However, to be considered a minority, female-owned, or HUB vendor, the vendor must have proof of certification.
