Criminal Investigation Division (CID)

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is the primary investigative arm of the Lancaster Police Department and is comprised of a CID Sergeant and two investigators, all of whom maintain an investigative caseload.

They are assigned the task of investigating all reported criminal offences, as well as other investigations initiated by the department. 

Their investigative duties include interviewing witnesses, suspects, and victims and ensuring that felony and misdemeanor cases are properly prepared and filed with the District Attorney's Office.
